High-Definition and 15x Optical Zoom for Superior, Crisp Image Quality
The PS660 delivers High Definition image clarity with 144 percent more detail than XGA resolution and 25 percent more than SXGA image output. Books with small fonts of 8 or even 6 points can be read clearly on a screen or monitor. The 15x optical zoom and Auto Focus automatically sharpen any image with the click of a button to assure that students catch every detail of presented materials.
Stand-Alone Audio and Video Recording
Educators can record videos with synchronized audio directly onto an SD card, without a PC or additional software, by pressing the record button. These creations are automatically stored on the SD card and can be played back as often as desired, or uploaded to facilitate distance learning.
Auto Tune and Auto Focus for Best Possible Image Quality
With Lumens’ unique Autotune function, the PS660 adjusts for the best possible image by automatically tuning brightness, contrast, color balance, exposure and focus.
Easy to Use
Like all Lumens desktop document cameras, the PS660 is designed for ease of use. Any feature can be started or stopped with the click of a button. The remote control and the unit’s physical design allow educators to integrate the camera into their natural teaching style, whether they want to walk around the room or stand next to the unit to control it.
Generous Internal Storage and External SD Card Storage
With the PS660, educators can easily capture images – by clicking the capture button – and automatically store them on the unit’s internal memory, which holds up to 240 images. Saved images can be readily recalled as a slide show or as single images.
In addition to the internal memory, the PS660 offers an external memory option, supporting the use of SD cards up to 32GB. After storing their work, faculty or university IT professionals can recall images and videos as often they want. The Flip mode lets users rotate images, while Lumens queue™ software supports annotating images.
Time-Lapse Capture
Time-lapse photography supports continuous image capturing for various intervals and time frames. Teachers can then play back as an automatic or manual slide show, or simply copy the jpeg images to their computer.
Record Videos, Capture Images and Annotate
The Lumens queue™ software supports both the Microsoft Windows® and Mac OSX platforms. With the queue software, educators can easily record, save and annotate videos and capture images. Educators can also easily annotate and save live images.
Slide Show Technology
Presenters can display stored images as an automatic or manual slide show. This feature can be stopped or started with a single click of the “Slide Show” button.
Five slide show transition effects help presenters quickly create a professional presentation of captured content quickly and easily.
Pan/Five-Step Book Mode
Designed specifically to accommodate the large-format text books used in colleges and university, the PS660 has a large shooting area that can capture both pages of a open text book. With the book mode feature, educators can quickly zoom from full page to separate quadrants of the page, such as upper-left, lower-left, upper-right, and lower-right – with a click of a button and without re-positioning the documents.
VGA, USB and HDMI Connections
Designed to accommodate the modern classrooms of higher-education facilities, the PS660 offers flexibility and connectivity. With dual VGA input, a VGA pass-through, plus a VGA output, the PS660 can be connected to two PCs or other VGA input sources (such as media players), an external monitor and a projector simultaneously. This significantly simplifies installation for university IT professionals. An analog output for television and a USB 2.0 output for PCs, Macs and interactive whiteboards further extend the connection options. HDMI output allows the visual presenter to be connected to an HDTV and to transfer high-definition images to video conferencing systems.
Auto Erase and Anti-theft
The PS660 offers a wipe-clean option, called Auto Erase, which allows users to choose to automatically erase internal memory after each use. Since university faculty often share equipment or classrooms, this simplifies maintenance for the facility manager and ensures a clean start for each user. Security features such as password protection (lock down), and a Kensington Lock Slot protect against theft without the inconvenience of locking equipment away after each use.
Credit Card-Sized Remote Control
The Lumens Ladibug remote control provides access to the most-used features and gives educators the option of operating the presenter from a distance if they prefer to walk around the room or need to attend to students while continuing the lecture.
Five-Year Unlimited Warranty and Advanced Replacement
Lumens offers the most comprehensive, unlimited five-year manufacturer's warranty, which includes all parts and labor.
